Paddles?

So most of downstairs is windows. Big windows and not a lot of wall space. Like this narrow space above the couch. I'm thinking vintage paddles?

I found these on ebay that might due the trick. But they are about $80. A bit more than I want to spend. My mom said she might have some at the beach house...so we'll see!
