New Construction

When we first started house hunting I was against buying new construction. I was convinced that it would be boring and not have any charm at all. I was pleasantly surprised! Here are a few homes in the area that I have drooled over....

Delivery

I had milk delivered today! I feel so domestic! Of course, it didn't come in cute little glass bottles. I hate you cardboard.

Daily Dose of Awesome

I need to find a blank wall in my house to do this. Huge vintage clocks. I'm in love.

My closet could use one of these...

Cleaning Day!

I'll be spending the day cleaning. From top to bottom. Bottom to top. Crevasses. Under the bed. Behind the fridge. Everything. We have guests coming! :)

Party Time!

Daily Dose of Awesome: Wrapping Paper/Maps

Emily at Timeless Paper is brilliant. I've been looking to frame vintage maps for Todd's office for weeks and they all cost an arm an a leg. Enter Paper Source. They have wrapping paper that you can frame and get the same look! Brilliant. I can't wait to do this!

Newton Needs...

I got this bag for Newton but I feel like he might need a couple more bags for when we go to the Hamptons and Paris. You know, spur of moment on a Tuesday. :)

Check out Trixie and Peanut for more awesomeness.

My First Time on the Little Screen!

I was on the news tonight! :) Fox Q13 and on CBS Kiro 7 came to the Movin 92.5 studio today to talk about the death of Michael Jackson. I was so nervous! I was so glad that I showered today. Seriously.

The Shaby Chic Cottage Chalkboard Party

A girl can always use another chalkboard! Check out the Shabby Chic Cottage for more fab chalkboards!
I got tired of looking at this ugly painting that was too small to be hanging above the couch all by its lonesome, so I made it into a chalkboard! :)

This hangs at the top of the stairs and often has my to-do lists on it.

This little chalkboard is in the kitchen and I use it to leave love notes for Todd. :)

This chalkboard is in the pantry and reminds we what to pick up at the grocery store.

Hanging Out

Todd can't hang to save his life. We have so many holes in our walls--when we do eventually move it's going to be a HUGE pain. There is a reason this shelf is hanging SO close to the picture. Todd. Gotta love him. :) We had to move everything up and then down and well, basically this is the only arrangement that works without gaping holes showing. :)
I got this stack of plates at Marshall's and I'm debating whether to eat off them or hang them on the walls. We'll see...
More plates! I love the numbered plates from Sadie Olive.

I'm thinking I could use something long, along top of the mirror. But then again....that could be too much. I have a hard time editing myself.

These aren't hung very even either! :) Another thought that is crossing mind is hanging tins and little plaques alllllllll over this wall and not just this tiny strip. Yay or Nay?

More Stuff for my Imaginary Child

Oh, imaginary child. I spoil you so.

Prints for the imaginary nursery. I am in LOVE with this bird map.

Coming Right Along...

Updated the laundry room with this print I got on ebay and a Shabby Chic Rug from Target. It's still not done yet, but it's getting there. :)

Operation Pretty: Bedroom Pillows

With my new bedroom in the works, I'm thinking the white bedding could use some pretty pillows. I adore these from Bella Studios. And Todd has agreed that we can paint the walls this pretty gray/brown color. Yay!
This is the model home from our neighborhood and our downstairs bathroom. Bad choice of going with this color in a room with no windows. My bad.
