The Garage is the Man's Domain

Right? Wrong. It is all mine! Although Todd has told me that no more furniture can come in until I finish a project. One in--one out.
1. I have my farmer's table that will soon be my desk upstairs in the loft to stain and finish painting.
2. I have the two dressers that I need to sand and paint and use as nightstands.
3. And then I have to get covers made for the parsons chairs.
4. And then I have to get wheels and glass cut for the pigeon coffee table I have in the works.
5. And THEN, finally there is the secretary desk. The desk that started it all and it still not done.
So yeah. I have a lot on my plate. And I'm thrilled! :)

Oh my goodness! If you could see my garage... but I will never let you. Yours is spotless, a studio compared to mine. Mr. Hughes has a plan to work out there so we can fit ONE car in there for the winter. I love your dressers as nightstands... something that I tried to find for so long but eventually gave up on... we just don't have enough space.

Have fun with all your projects!

Your garage makes me smile. I've got a sideboard and three nightstands in mine.

Man I wish I had a garage right about now! Very jealous - I do my furniture painting in the backyard and have to lug it back inside with all of these summer rain showers!

Ohhhh, I've taken over most of the garage too, so my boyfriend feels your husbands pain! LOL! I've got three head/foot board sets, a buffet, and a desk, plus a million other small random things! LOL!

I've had a particular piece in ours for so long that Cory has taken it over as a work bench! ;)

You know that if I had a garage I'd be right there with you, sister. Have you SEEN my basement?

I love when I'm busy, busy, busy- just like you seem to be! :) I adore having so many projects I can go back and forth between... But I have to agree with the hubby for just this one moment: it's nice to have someone put a cap so we don't get too carried away, right? :) I can't wait to see all of these finished projects. They sound wonderful!

This isn't about your garage but I wanted to say that I LOVE LOVE your new profile photo.

You'll get it done. Let me know if you want help one of these days.... I'll bring over a bottle of wine or something and we'll have a good time.

Oh girl! You and I are clearly soul-sisters. I thought I was looking at a picture of my own garage. My poor hubby tries so hard to overlook my foolish ways but he's recently started balking at me bringing home so many pieces of bedraggled furniture.

I probably need to adopt your "one in, one out" policy. Good idea.

Have you read Centsational Girl, or Kimba at A Soft Place to Land? They spray paint everything--much faster. CG sands, but Kimba doesn't usually--and I likeh er method better. That would help you knock out those nightstands for sure.

Oh, I'm a nerd. It looks like Kimba just commented right before me. Unless there's another one... Whatever, I'm a nerd anyway. ;)

The people we bought our house from thought it was be a great idea to take away part of the garage. So I use part of the garage for storage. And the other part to park my automobile.
