If you do a google search of this topic for blogger [or any for that matter], you can usually come across some easy and very helpful sites! It's all too confusing for simple minded me so i haven't jumped in yet, but from comments I've seen, most people don't have issues with anything on these sites! Good luck. :)

I have the same advice as Darci. I go manually into the edit HTML section and change the proportions of the photos (make the width the max that your blogger size will fit, and change the height the appropriate percentage)

so I think this as good as it gets. I want a cute 3 column background...but I don't think I can have one and have everything big. Oh well.
If I'm using Flickr, I resize them at around 645 pixels wide, keeping the porportions, and load them using the code for "large" on Flickr. My cousin gave me tips on doing it in Blogger using HTML code, it was pretty easy, and since I've used up my free space in Flickr, I've been doing it this way recently. Let me know if you want tips, you can send me an email. I changed from my 3-column back to 2 because I couldn't load the photos big enough, either.
Wish I did but I have the same problems.
The 3 column options do make things smaller (I have one on my other blog, and the width of my pics is about 480). Someone commented that you can resize images in Picasa and then just drag them into blogger. Maybe that will work?
I love your mirror... and of course everything I touch these days, ( todays post too) gets painted creamy white...I know your frustration...with the pictures...I don't know if it's possible to have the bigger photos with 3 columns...I went in and changed my format to "Stretch Minima" which allows me to go in and change each photo individually on the HTML code... it's easier to show you then to try and explain it. Go to Susans@ Between Naps on the Porch... she did a post on how to accomplish this and it was pretty detailed, hope that was somewhat helpful...xoxo~Kathy @ Sweet Up-North Mornings...
