Sequim, Washington: The Lavender Capital of North America

The Lavender Festival is right around the corner and I'm going to miss it! :(

Lavender is one of the few things my cats, the kittens of the corn, won't eat. It might be because I keep them in unconventional places though and not in vases that are within reach. I don't want to test the theory.

Lavender is one of my favourites. The lavender in your pictures looks especially good. This summer in the U.K. everything seems to have grown and flowered really well. I commented to someone today that the lavender was fantastic this year. I think that it is because we had quite a cold winter, lots of rain and then some very hot weather. XXXX

I had no idea they had this sort of festival. I would LOVE to go to one of these...hmmm, I will have to google it to get info for next year maybe. :D Just to let you know, I am still loving your blog. I linked to your blog on my blog post today. ;)

There is a p-patch on 15th that you can pick lavender at! That's where I went last year when I missed the festival.
