Did the folks at Pottery Barn take an arts and crafts class recently? Because I could make this stuff! And jack up the price and sell it. Oooh. That's an idea.
I mean, $39 for these!? I can MAKE these. (And I think I will. Cause they're cute.)
And this! I can do this!
Love this sign. I bet I could find someone else to make it for me.
This, not so much. That would take a WHOLE lot more effort on my part. And frankly, I don't have it in me. I will say, everything in the new catalog is cute. As usual.
Hahaha...they're CRAZY in the brain!!! You could totally make those jars for under $5 each. Goodwill hunting of course...then stencil and voila :) I love that you have an imaginary child on your page.
I haven't received my PB catolog yet, that is a hoot. I don't really like the crackle numbers on the jar anyway. I think I have seen more impressive stuff from my blog friends. I do love the graphic nature of their stuff and it would be fun to try to duplicate it for a fourth of the price. Great post, thanks for sharing! Take care.
You should make it. Stinking Pottery Barn! They have grain sack pillows now too! ( I kinda feel like Phoebe in that Friends episode!) Don't get me wrong, I like Pottery Barn, but I usually find myself lusting after the accessories and wall art that is not for sale! Michelle
Great finds, and you're so right! Also, what the heck is everyone's (mine included) obsession with putting random numbers on everything? Seriously, where did this come from??
Thanks for commenting on my blog. Are you going to have a booth at Funky Junk Sisters? You could sell the jars. Great blog and I NEED to know where you got the chandelier picture.
Hello my bloggy friend! WooHoo!!! Party day is just a week away! I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone's creative spaces. I have a request... I thought it would be easier for everyone to leave comments if we all turned off comment moderation and word verification during the day (or maybe week) of the party. To do that, go to customize, settings, comments...then scroll down to turn off comment moderation and word verification. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and a fabulous week. See you next Friday!!
I totally agree with you.Making some things on your own is so much better and sometimes at a more reasonable price. You got some great ideas.I find myself trying to come up with putting things together also. Fun Finds 2 U... Chickie
Other than buying a few pillow covers on sale there, I rarely shop at PB. However, I like to get ideas from their catalog and website. You can definitely make it yourself for less.
Great post, Susan. And so true. Some companies are so greedy. But then, again I know some people will pay the price just because of the name. I love those jars.

I know you have it in you to make these. They're all so cute! And how about you whip up that drawing of the dog too :) Easy!

Just found your blog. It's so fabulous, I can't even handle it.
