Cause my wrists are hurting bad from painting this bad boy. Three cans of cream spray paint and it still isn't done. I bought these lockers this weekend off craigslist to mend my broken heart for not getting the dresser I wanted. From the picture, I thought they were the perfect shade of gray for my loft upstairs. But when I got them, they were not. So spray paint it was! I think I'm going to paint a gray stripe across them...or down each one. We shall see....

Very industrial looking and fun!
There is a solution for your "carpel tunnel" and/or "finger cramping" while spray painting problem: there is a tool that is sold by the spray paint in hardware/home improvement centers that fits over the spray can and holds the can while you simply move your hand back and forth for even coverage...I can't live without it! You can see a photo of this "device" in my post here: http://con-tain-it.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/02/black-spray-paint.html
Also...it would be cool if you painted a "chalk board" section on your "lockers" so that you can "label" what's inside...and change the labels as you change the contents. Enjoy, Roberta
oooh, thanks for the awesome suggestions! I will FOR SURE be getting that little gadget! :)
Susan amor, I had to come visit when I saw your new post and the opening sentence...I started to laugh because I can't tell you how many times I asked myself that same question :) I was about to tell you about that tool for the spray can...I love it, I refuse to touch a can or spray paint without it, no matter how lil paint I need :) I am glad you got the info you needed...Have fun painting, can't wait to see the finished project...I will come back and see your earlier posts on this dresser you spoke of...Have fun creating some beauty for your casa :) Besos, Rose
Love that! Can't wait to see it finsihed.
Oh a stripe down each one... yes! Good luck with the reno injury. A-M xx
What a lucky find. I can't wait to see them finished. I love it when you post pics of your home. I love your style!!
I've been buying the spray cans with the trigger spray valve. Bonus is that they can be used on multiple surface applications.
